Problem for HP Compaq nc6120 PC Notebook
I have any chance to reset on power password?

Hi all
I have HP Compaq nc6120, it has power on password,so i cant boot it, is there any chance to reset this password if someone knows please HELP!!!

Took everything off as explained above (battery, HD, RAM, cmos battery
). Left it alone for little over 30 minutes. Didn't plug anything back.. Just the powercord and then powered up. Kept it running for a minute, then shutdown. After this i put everything back, started up pressed F10 and got in to bios, no questions asked.
i did over and over again and still prompt for power-on password, please do any one know another way to remove power-on password

You have to search for the button 3202 battery, remove it temporarily then start it again. please dont 4get your rating. Thanks I no fine newer button 3202 battery??????

To get this password remove it’s going to take some ‘tech’ knowhow.

- i have the same problempower on password with my hp nc6120 i did everything remove the batteries and wait for 3 hours power on without the batteries re install the batteries but it is still the same...pls help me......

Remove the Battery
Remove the Hard Disk
Remove the DIMM Memory from underneath the Laptop and remove the 2x KEYBOARD screws
Turnover laptop and REMOVE the KEYBOARD by pushing back the 4 x Spring clips between keys "esc" & "F1" - "F4" & "F5" - "F8" & "F9" - "F12" & "DELETE"
Remove the 2nd DIMM Memory and Unclip the Battery from Mainboard.
Leave for 30 minutes then start with mains ONLY no battery or Hard Disk
BIOS NOW RESET including Password
Switch Off and now put all back together
Remove the Hard Disk
