Hello, I have an iphone where I have a "buzzing" sound coming from the reciever. It sounds like the audio quality you hear when your car speakers are blown. Having the phone's speaker volume on high makes it very difficult to discern what the other person is saying. Apart from returning the phone back to Apple, any suggestions on this hardware fix?? Please advise, this is driving me crazy!!

Re: iphone voice quality
Yes It seems that the bump when you dropped it cracked the earpiece. It happens often. Keep in mind that this is the first cell phone apple has made so they are still learning. It could have been worse.Trust me! The i-phone when dropped on the otherside (bottom) the wifi radio breaks! That part is next to impossible to get. Back to your problem. Like i was saying, its a simple repair for any authorized service center with i-phone experiance to replace. We do i-phone repairs quite a bit at my store, as the i-phone is not sold by any carrier herein Canada, so people come to us. It should cost you about 60$ with installation if its an out of warranty item. If you want us to do it for you, just go to our site aand shoot me an email

You have to have a phone that allows full voice control. I know that iPhones do via 'Siri', not sure about Samsung.
I use a Motorola Bluetooth earpiece which is paired to my iPhone 6. I just press the main button on the earpiece and after a second, I hear a 'ding ding' sound and give the voice control 'phone home' or whatever. The Contact 'Home' needs to be assigned a number in Contacts.
I have seen this before three or four times on the i-phone. Your earpiece is broken and needs to be replaced. The firmware is not going to change anything. Bring it to at&t and they will flip it or repair it for you under warranty. If that is not an option, take it to any other service center that is qualified and certified, and they should be able to do it in like 45 min time while you wait. If you cant find anywhere to do it check my profile and we can help you out. Hope this helps.
Poor sound and quality: If you hear buzzing sounds during conversations or either during sound alerts, bring it to the nearest repair shop for replacment of speakers. However, if you only mean that you had a hard time listening to a call because of low volume, then do the following:
1. during the conversation, press the UP button, then, you will see the volume bar to appear. Keep pressing it until you reach the desired volume. When your done, just stop pressing or tapping and it will automatically return to call menu.
Enjoy Nokia 3315.
It may be a hardware problem. to check it go to voice recorder in your phone in record any sound and save it and play it. if you hear good quality sound (loud and clear) then it is not hardware problem. try formatting your phone it will do for you. and if you hear bad quality or not at all able to hear any sound of recorded clip then it is hardware problem. you can not fix it by yourself you have to go to mobile repairing shop and ask them to install new mike in your phone. it india it cost around Rs100-150. hope this was helpful. THANKS FOR USING FIXYA.
pls make sure that your cell microphone is working.. if not get the microphone replaced.. to chck the microphone, do any sound sound recording and play it back... u will know that it is working if u hear the recording, if no sound comes, sorry to say but your microphone's gone..
Unfortunately, solution is NOT free. Until Apple decides to take good look into this issue, you are left to buying another BT headset model.
I got lucky first time around, bought new Plantronics (not Playtronics...) Voyager 520 (I do love Plantronics 3xx design, this is the next best thing). It did cost almost twice as much as my previous headsets (about 45 EUR), but it's still on the cheap "side" and (to my experience) also the best value. Hope new headset also lasts almost whole week before needing recharge, like my "old ones". :)
It's usually caused by a defective or dislodged electronic module that sits behind the ear speaker, this should be covered under warranty unless there are visible marks of the drop. If you're not covered, you can try a iphone repair guide websites, there are also places that sell iphone parts.
I have had the same problem.... When the video was played after recording no or very bad quality sound were herd.... The solution is to do all of the following 1)Changing the cover 2)Changing the fones body 3)Changing both the Speaker and the microfone....
