Question about GE EasyCam Plus Webcam
I just bought a new computer that has Windows Vista. The CD ROM for my Easy Cam is not for Vista. Is there a way I can get the download for Vista?
The GE EasyCam does not have a driver for Windows Vista. Trust me I've looked. The XP driver at Jasco will not do anything. And whatever you do, DON'T let Vista search for drivers automatically.
It will "tell" you that the D-Link CIF USB Camera has been installed, but nothing camera related will work. And if you reboot.... brace yourself for BIOS beep codes, and Repair Tool launches... a lot of them.
As a general rule, I hate.. HATE... smarmy people who advise "get rid of that old crap and buy something good," BUT, in this case, much to my own chagrin, that advise rings true.
For about $25 you can get a low-end webcam that is certified Vista compatible. It's worth it just to avoid the headaches.
Hope that helps.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
Here's a link to this great service

Okay you can try and go on the internet and see if there is a driver download for vista for your cam.
This usually works
If not I would probably suggest an updated camera since vista was made for newer versions.Just make sre your new cam supports vista
