Problem for Rancilio Silvia Espresso Machine

first started the heat light would't come on if you taped the side it would come on And steam .slowley the light would come on and stay on and the boiler would be cold .I check all electrical con .and they seem to be ok .I plugged it into a gfi receptacle and it didn't pop the circuit .I then installed a new boiler and have the same problem. the light comes on but nothing gets warm or hot .a advise would be depreciated I am mechanically inclined so I could do a few test myself.

Hmmm. It doesn't sound like a boiler problem. The heating element is controlled by a pressure or temperature switch. Either the switch is poorly connected or malfunctioning. Temp. switches are directly on the boiler with wires that go to a relay connected to the heating element. Pressure switches just have a tube connected to the boiler with wires to the relay.
