Re: kac-8401 buzzing noise

If the buzz is real high pich the faster you go and lowers to a low pich when you slow down then it is you alternator on your engin.
The only way to stop this is to go to an caraudio store and buy a noise filter which will stop the noise. The only bad thing about getting an noise filter is that it will cause the watts on your amp to go down a little bit because the noise filter runs your power source through a box with a step up transformer and a step down transformer. I hope i helped you with your problem

My powered mixer Behringer is buzzing

Make sure the buzz doesn't happen because of feedback of speakers into mics. When feedback is processed it often goes to a buzz instead of the usual howl.

Also check that you are running adequate inout into the effect since a very low inout will incur digitizing noise and loss of signal=to-noise ratio.

My amp wont put out any sound

You need to confirm that you have a good ground, and 12v on the terminals of the amp.

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

You might want to turn your Gain setting down a little. Also Look to be sure you have enough air flow around the amp. If it cannot breath, the heat from the amp will build until it wigs out. Use your Ingenuity to get more air to the AMp.

Speaker outputs blown on 4 channel amp

the outputs should be replaced in pairs, there are 2 to 4 pairs, but you sould only need 1 pair replaced. these transistors typically range between 10 to 30 cdn each + labour, look for 1 to 1.5h to replace & test the unit after repair. check your local repair shop for their rates. good luck

When amp powers up it makes a buzzing noise-quite loud-

Probably a loose coil or bad ground in the amp itself. Contact, ask for Jason, he can help you and is the best out there. The problem you're having is extremely tricky to rectify, I had an amp with the same problem at it stumped multiple techs, some that had been in the business 35 years, yet Jason got it solved.
