Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

I need help

My sansa e250 says bad track to random songs. And you said that I should sync them to Windows Media Player 10 or 11 but its to late i want to restart fresh on my sansa e250 how do i do this???

Go to settings in the menu and change the USB mode to MSC
then plug into computer
now go to MYCOMP and wait for player to show up as a drive
rightclick on the player and choose format
Once formatted, unplug player to restart database
Look into your music and make sure you do not have any questionable files such as itunes music or any mp4

Delete songs and Format (Helps with try to delete BAD TRACKS and folders that will not delete
Labeling Unknown Songs: open Windows Media Player and go to library click on artist. The sub folders will be named by the artists and the unknown songs will be in the sub that say's unknown. Click on unknown then right click on the title bar put a check next to artist and album artist. Right click song under artist or album artist or both and type in the name of the artist etc.... This change in your computers Music folders also then sync with your sansa or media player then load songs to it........

Cannot get music on or off of MP3 player.

The 260 you can remove the screws on back cover and remove the battery and replace to reset, not sure on the 250, you might also want to go their website and download the latest firmware updates.

Cannot delete the songs on mp3

I do mine through Windows Media Player
1)Plug in Sansa
2)Open up Windows Media Player and wait for the Sansa e250 icon to show up under the library. First time, might say 'What device is this' or 'Autoplay'-for autoplay,you click 'sync media files to Sansa e250 using WIndows Media Player'
3)When library shows, click 'Sync' if it is not already there.
4)Just simply click and drag the songs you want from the computer library to the list pane on the side.
5)Once your done, click 'Sart sync'

1)Plug in
2)Wait for the icon under Library in WIndows Media Player
3)Go to Songs under Sansa e250
4)Right click desired songs and choose Delete. You only want to delete from Sansa e250-nothing else

The songs you are trying to use are in the wrong format, or have expired licenses - use mp3 format only and you won't have those problems

Sansa is unable to synch new music and only has 5 "bad tracks" on it that I can't delete...

Two possible methods:
Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out:

Adding music to my sansa e250

you must use windows media player 10 or 11 to sync songs into the sansa. Make sure you sync it this way or else your songs will not go in properly.

Mp3 format??? HELP, PLEASE!

No You Don't Have To Converter The Tracks. It Depends On How You Put The Tracks On Your Sansa, Do You Drag And Drop Or Do You Sync With Copy To Device In Windows Media Player 9, Or Sync In Windows Media Player

Hi tooky. Getting a "Bad Track" message on the E250 may be an indication of memory corruption, music file corruption, or outdated subscription/license info. One solution would be to format your player in Windows Media Player (version 10 or 11): 1. Make sure your player is in MTP mode by navigating the menu as follows: Menu > Settings > USB Mode You would get a choice of "MTP" or "MSC". Please select "MTP". If your player is an "E250 Rhapsody series" player, select "Plays for Sure". 2. Plug your player to your PC and run Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync" tab and make sure the E250 is listed. Look for the "Format" button (it would look like a "pencil" on Windows Media Player 10) and click on it. Follow the on-screen prompt. 3. Re-load your songs by either copying/pasting your songs to the player or by using Windows Media Player's "Synchronization" feature. You could also format the player while in "MSC" or "Rhapsody" mode by browsing the player in Explorer, right-clicking the drive letter corresponding to the player, then select "Format". Follow the on-screen prompts Another solution would be to update the firmware of your player by downloading the Sansa Firmware Updater using this link from the SanDisk website (instructions are found on this site as well): For standard E250 or E250R "Rhapsody Series": Make sure your player is set to MSC mode, or "Rhapsody" Mode The type of music file might also be the cause. If your music files are licensed, purchased or acquired via subscription, you may want to contact the provider for more info on how to re-download the music files. I hope this helps. There are other procedures available but these might actually make your player work normally again. Hoping for the best :)
