Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players

1 Answer

Sanyo DVD SL40 has stopped working. All lights are on but nothing is happening

Player stopped at the end of an episode but would not respond to remote or front panel switches. All lights are on on the front panel.
Same problem happened with a previous one which sanyo replaced but this one is well out of warranty but only been used a few times (about 6 hours maximum).

Ihave made a DVD of a TV series and the menu for the episodes appears onscreen but I only seem to have the option of playing episode would I jump to a different episode?

Back in 2012, I had what I think was the same issue, an entire series, with only the 1st "starting" title. Easiest solution is to just write down the episode starting time of each one, and just enter that time to advance to that episode, or if you don't have that option, just fast forward it to the time on your sheet of paper or whatever.

My brother found me a "TRIAL" program called "ULTRA VIDEO SPLITTER" really cool which easily does what you want to do, that is divide your 4 or 6 hour, or whatever it is, enter menu titles, the works. The one I had was "ULTRA VIDEO SPLITTER 6.3.0206" from "AONE" Software. I do not know if it is still available. If not maybe one of it's cousins is!. Good Luck! (Man I said "whatever" too much! Oh well, whatever)

When I load a dvd into the player, after a while it says "no disc" and nothing plays.

Do the "bad" disks work on some other DVD player?
Or, do the "bad" disks work on some computer with a DVD drive?
Dirty disks with lots of greasy fingerprints?

The door of my dvd player will not open. It sound like it wants to, but nothing happens.

This sounds like a problem with the mechanism of your player,it is probably stuck.

What you should do is to open up the player and try to open the door with your hand by pulling it,check to see what is stopping it from opening and clear the object stopping the door from opening automatically

Please note that it might just require oiling the door wheel to make the door open and close automatically.

Coby 626 DVD Player Remote Not Working

I have a COBY DVD player TF-DVD7005 that hadn't been used in a while. When I charged the battery and the light went from red to green, nothing happens when I push play and the DVD doesn't spin. Could the battery be dead despite the green light and where would I get a new one?
