Question about Toshiba Satellite A135-S2276 Notebook
I left my Toshiba Satellite A135-S2276 turned on with a projector plugged-in for lunch break. When I returned I noticed it hang, so I pressed the power button to turn it off. From then it won't turn on again. If I press the power button its LED, as well as the power LED and the DVD LED all get lighted up but nothing happens.
A coworker used to work for Toshiba and said that this is common for the Satellite A135 models and under warranty the fix was a motherboard swap for a newer/updated motherboard. Otherwise the unit is unusable.

first to do is check your charger... remove the battery then connect the charger.. if still not working.. you need to open the system check the dc connector if its okay.. now time to check the motherboard. maybe some chips bluwn or burn... shortage... this is always happens epecially those over heating the cpu fan is slow not enougth to give out the coold..

Maybe it is just disabled they can be set to... Screen on Laptop ONLY... External Screen ONLY, Both Screens on together. Try to find the keys that toggle those modes? in your manual.

SOURCE: Can I upgrade memory of
Yes to memory, no to hard drive, however you could take a image, replace with a larger drive and repartition and image it from the saved one, using partition magic and something like Ghost
