Re: got wet

Shuffle 1st gen : set switch to OFF, gently pop switch slider off.
Shake the water out.
Get out the hair dryer, on low, or leave it someplace warm and dry.
cross fingers.

My ipod shuffle just came out of the dryer after being washed and won't turn on. Is there anything I can do to get it to work again? Thanx!

Chances are your unit may still work, like cell phones do after being dropped into toilet bowls. However, before this happens, its innards need to be fully dried up. A session in the dryer after being washed may not be enough. Since this is a well sealed unit, it may need several days of drying up. I would try leaving it under direct sun light for several days, and then try to charge it and see if it still works.
Good luck!

My zune got wet it the washing machine how do i fix it myself

If it went through the wash, open everything you can and let it dry out for AT LEAST ONE WEEK. Water can get into a lot of areas that are hard to dry out. Since you already tried to turn it on, it might be destroyed.

The screen won't light up on my ipod, but

Unfortunately there is no solution since the water has messed up the LCD. Have you tried going to settings and check if the back light option is on?

Grandma washed the Ipod

you can only try ... the chances are bare minimum .... keep it to dry under a bulb or sumthing .... dont keep too near or it will melt ..... after around 12-14 hours ..... restore the same using itunes ..... that is the most that can be done

I washed my MP 3 player . What can I do ?

To be perfectly honest, it may be shot. But, as long as you dont try to power it up or charge it while its wet, there is a chance that it will dry out on its own or even better, with a hair dryer on a low heat setting. If it comes apart then you can do a good job at drying it, if it doesn't. then it may dry with a blow dryer. If water inside sits too long, the connections corrode making the MP3 player useless. Be patient, try to dry it and then wait at least 24 hours to fire it up again.

Your circuit board was still moist or corroded when you charged it. This caused a short in your player. There is no telling what the future holds for it. Any electronic that gets wet must get disassembled and dried out otherwise it will corrode the connections.
