We're using Mac OS X 10.5.5 and suddenly we're having scaling problems with our pagepro 9100. Problem exists only in Indesign and illustrator. Print adjustements are all right sett and on 100% (always worked in the past) but now the printer gives downscaled images.
    ??????

Anyone recognizes this problem? Tips are more then welcome!

    Grtngs, Michiel.

I am not clear with the quarry you ask but what I understand that you can print larger the A4.so in all Konica Minolta printers which I have used we must specify the paper size before printing in the printer properties and confirm that the same paper size we have putt in the printer’s tray. if more then one trays and installed in the printer the printer can print all available paper size without specify them. But spouse if you send a legal size print to the printer and there in no legal size paper in the paper tray then it will show a error.
What I think it is paper size issues please check it and make sure the trays are fixed to the size which you putt in.

How to install PagePro 9100 on Maverick

The machine is very old. Before Konica and Minolta merged. QMS was under Minolta. Don't believe you can get the drivers but try Konicaminolta Web site.

I am running OS X 10.4.11 and would like to upgrade my operating system?

Please provide more information.
To what would you like to upgrade it?

Since OSX Mavericks was just announced, I'm going to assume that's what you're wanting to upgrade to.

Not all Macs can run Mavericks.

Mavericks Capable Macs

Mavericks, like its predecessor Mountain Lion, requires one of the following Macs with at least 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of available hard drive space:
  • iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
  • Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
  • Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
  • Xserve (Early 2009)

If your Mac isn't one of the ones listed above, you won't be able to upgrade.

If you have an iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, or Mac mini model that was originally released in Early/Mid 2006, the latest version of Mac OS X your system supports is Snow Leopard.

Mac os x updates dont work when i try to go from osx 10.5.8 to osx 10.6.1

If you currently have 10.5.8 on your machine this is the highest update that you can have if you have system 10.5. To upgrade to 10.6.1 you will have to buy 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and upgrade 10.5.8 to 10.6 then you will be able to run system upgrade to 10.6.8.

Hi Jolito

You don't say which Operating System you use, so my answer will be presented in general, Windows terms. If yours is a non-Windows Operating System and my answer seems to be of some relevance to you, please consider applying the logic and principles involved here to your own Operating System and, if in doubt, please feel free to add a Comment or Clarification to this Question. Please include information about the Operating System. Doing so helps us makes faster, more accurate and more assured Remote Diagnostics leading to better quality and more useful Advice, Answers, Guidelines , How-Tos and Solutions.

The term "Drivers" is meaningless without associating it with an Operating System and a specific item of Hardware.

There is no such thing as a "Driver". There are only XP VGA LAN Drivers, Vista VGA Drivers or Windows7 Wireless Audio Drivers, Mac OSX Tiger WLAN Drivers. Mac OSX Leopard Epson Sx100 Printer Drivers, Mac OSX Lion Webcam Drivers, Linux Red Hat Midi Controller Drivers, Linux Ubuntu Media Player Drivers, etc.
Although drivers seem to mainly be about hardware, they are actually mainly about software. The Driver does not physically control the Motherboard's Devices. The BIOS and the Operating System do. What the Driver does is (just like a human interpreter for a guest who speaks a different language from his host), introduce the Device to the Operating System and help them to communicate with one another, with the Driver taking instructions from both and passing it back and forth between them.

So when one mentions Drivers, one must also mention the Operating System it will be talking to. In order for that to be possible, the 2 must share a common language. If they do not, then the role of 'interpreter' is impossible, because, then neither the Driver nor the Device will be able to understand what the Operating System is saying.

PagePro 9100 says "1 active job" but won't print

I found out that it was some (vector) snowflakes we had in the art that had gradients that caused the printer to freeze.

We removed (in Adobe Illustrator® CS3) all of art work then replacing it on piece at a time, printing OK until we added the snowflakes. Turning the gradients into just halftones was our solution. The printer representative is going to give our printer a memory upgrade for free.
