Question about KB Gear Jam Studio Graphic Tablet

1 Answer

Overly sensitive Jam Studio stylus

My tablet worked fine with my old computer six years ago. Just now hooked it up to my newest computer (XP), downloaded the XP driver and tried to use the thing. When the stylus gets within half an inch of the tablet, it begins spewing out "ink." Do you have a solution?

I got mine from a friend years ago, for whom it worked perfectly, but I tried using it on our family computer, which uses XP, and the same problem happened. Then I got a new computer, which uses Vista, and again, same problem.

Greetings,
Chambersburg here again.

Once the driver has been properly installed you should see an icon of the tablet with the words, "jam online' beneath the icon from within Win XP's control center.

Double click on this and you should be able to adjust the senistivity of the tablet. Hope you have better luck than me with adjusting its senistivity.
Later,
C

Does the Wacom Intuos2 Classic Pen (xp 300e) work with the Wacom Bamboo CTL 470 tablet?

From what I read on Wacom's site, they are NOT compatible.
The Bamboo use a stylus that is different than the nib pens that the Intuos use. The stylus for the Bamboo is more like the stylus you can purchase for smart phones. The Intuos pens are pressure sensitive and have different nibs you can use for different effects and feel. You can go to their website and look for compatible pens and stylus' for your specific tablet.

I installed windows xp on my toshiba tecra m4. How stylus pen works?

Toshiba Tecra M4-S435 is Tablet PC. Windows XP (Profession) has no option of touch screen.
In order to use the feature, you need to install Windows XP Tablet PC Edition or you may install Windows 7, which supports this feature and you would definately be able to use stylus and touch screen, as I have installed Windows 7 and its working fine with all the drivers etc.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

Why has my bamboo pen and tablet become so sensitive?

I've had the intuos and it worked for years without incident. I have the bamboo and after only a few months it's having issues. WTF is up with that?! I've already changed the nub out once. It worked fine for a while but now... I have to double click to get it to release anything it grabs onto. As a graphic artist where precision is involved... that's very bad.

I think it's time to contact their customer service.

Wacom tablet won't recognize pen

Hmm. I've had a similar thing happen with my tablet. Have you tried removing the tablet pen from the list of tools in tablet preferences and then adding it to the list again before checking the 'About' section of the tablet pen set-up and clicking the 'diagnose' button there in? As that worked for me when my tablet pen was not working. The pen was recognized by the tablet after that.
