Sa33 will not turn on

Player will not turn on. tried to use repair it did not work

    Just purchased Philips Gogear 4GB. Installed Ok, part charged OK, tested OK. Left attached to PC to fully charge, now will not power on and PC doesnt recognise it.


    Please help.

I would be interested to hear if you have Windows XP or Windows Vista.
If player is off and disconnected from PC,
1) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips) - if you don't see it, then re-run the installation CD or grab the "Device/Firmware Manager" from the Philips website
2) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
3) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off (if you haven't done so already) - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

You will now be able to load the firmware upgrade by clicking on the update tab in Philips Device Manager. The firmware upgrade should resolve the issue permanently.

How do you remove a CD that is stuck in the factory installed cd player 2005 odyssey?


All you can do without disassembling is pressing repeatedly the eject button while you turn on the unit at the same time. You can try first turning ignition off and on, then disconnecting the battery.

If that does not work, then the CD player must be pulled out and disassembled to access and remove the disk.

Try first turning on the unit and pressing repeatedly the eject. If there is no mechanical problem with the CD player that will work. If that does not work, then the player usually needs repair.

It won't turn on

Your battery may be completely discharged. Try plugging it on a charger and leave it for a while (at least half an hour), than try turning it on. If it turns on, fully charge the battery and continue with normal usage. If that doesn't work, try connecting it to your computer via USB cable. If still not working, visit a repair shop. Thank you

My screen keeps getting locked and now matter how much i try to unlock it, it just wont work. now, it turns on for about 10 seconds and then it turns off and rebuilds. any help??

Hi have you tried connect the player to your computer an see if it shows up in your my computer option as a removable device so you can format the HD in the player.. You can also try taking a small pin and push in the reset button on the bottom of the player threw the small hole and holding it for about 10 seconds and see if that will get it working. If you do get it working I would format the HD and reinstall the firmware. that will help

My zune is frozen on the Contact Support screen. I already tried turning it off but its not working. What do i do so it will work?

Hi if your player is on the contact support screen you can try doing a hard reset on the player. It that does not help then you will have to have the HD replaced as it has gone bad.

Player screen is locked. try to turn on but all I get is a lock symbol and it turns off. Tried to reset but nothing happens.

Hmm... I am using the same player and it is really good.

Now, follow these steps to unlock the player...

1. Hold your player horizontally.
2. At the bottom left hand side there is a switch to lock/unlock the player.
3. Use it.

If still it doesn't work, it means that that switch is not working and the player is damaged internally. In that case, you will need to give it back to the store for repairing or replacement.

My ipod wont turn on. ive have tried to reset it but it still wont work.

Sounds like the logic board is broken if it doesn't turn on with any chargers or any computers. You can try to replace the motherboard yourself, the part is available on any auction website. There is an iPod classic Repair service that can fix it for you. There is an iPod classic repair guide that can show you how to do the repair yourself.

Mp3 won't turn on

Make sure the hold/lock switch wasn't accidentally engaged, then try this:
Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Firmare - how long

The "Firmware Upgrading" should only show for about 60 seconds.

You could try removing the battery and restarting.

If this doesn't work try repairing again.
