Doesnot recognize a SD Card

The problem lies with your reader not being able to recognize sd cards over 8 gigs. A newer reader will work.

What file format is it formatted in?

test the sd card on your pc first to see if it works before you put it into your cell.

Hopefully you have the receipt...take it back. An issue with this camera.

You could always use a card reader and download to a folder you create on your desktop.

take out the battery, then insert the sd card until it clicks in and stays. Then replace the battery. This should work.

If it is an SDHC card, your camera may not work with it if it is an older camera.  Some older cameras will only work with lower capacity memory cards.  You might be able to get a firmware update to allow it to recognize the newer high capacity cards, assuming that is the problem.

You need to buy a different kind. i just bought a 4G Microcenter brand and its doing the same thing.
i'd recommend a Sandisk M-2 microSD.

sir probably your 2gb is dead or not factory formatted... just take your receipts and take that back to where you bought it... if it is formatted probably its the same problems of those who formatted their SD with windows xp... that worsen your problem cause i think you just void the warranty of your SD card... try your SD to other card readers and if something pops like "your drive is not formatted... format i now... just click no"
