Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player
You should not have had to install anything for the Zen to work on Vista. If you have installed any Creative software, remove it. Reboot, plug your player in, open Device Manager, and remove the device that shows up representing your player (completely uninstall it). Reboot again, and plug in your player. It should be recognized now.
If that still doesn't work, then boot your player into Recovery Mode, and perform both a Disk Cleanup and a Reformat. Reboot the player and try plugging it in again.
if it still doesn't try another computer and upload the latest firmware to it and then try it on your pc after firmware is loaded
try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.
