Open up iTunes, go to Music on the sidebar and navigate to the song(s) you want to delete. Uncheck the checkbox next to your chosen songs, so that next time you sync you iPod it will be deleted.
Alternatively, you can choose to delete/keep songs based on the artist, genre or playlist it is in. To do this, go to Devices on the sidebar and click on your iPod, making sure it is connected. Go to the Music tab at the top, and change the radio selection to 'Selected playlists, artists and genres'. From the options that appear beneath, select the playlists, genres or artists you wish to sync. Remember, if a song is included in ANY of the selected items, it will be synced.

You have to use itunes to delet songs. Just right click on the song in itunes and press delete. Make sure you only delete the song from the ipod (which will show up on the left hand side of the screen and not from the main music folder.

Delete songs and Format (Helps with try to delete BAD TRACKS and folders that will not delete(Some ripped CD folders).. Go to my computer scroll to your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders them selfs then format a couple of times hope this works
