Question about HTC Touch P3450 Smartphone

USB Connection When I first got my touch phone, I was unable to transfer data. When plugged into my computer through the USB connection I noticed that my phone was charging. To be honest I solved the problem but I am not really sure what I did to fix it. Now I am having the same problem and can't seem to fix it. I have gone through the trouble shoot. I made sure to allow USB connections and the phone is still charging through y computer USB connection.

USB is connected to HTC Tytn II,
battery is charging, but no connection with Activesync.

Tests with phones and laptops made sure the problem is at the HTC phone, and not the PC.

So, there's something wrong with the USB data-connection.
All settings in phone are set to work properly

Hi,
I fixed my problem of my HTC touch not Syncing with my phone thru the USB cable.
Go to
Start, Settings, System, Power, Advanced and select/enable the option that says "When device is turned on, do not charge the battery when connected to the PC."
If it still does not work at first then disconnect the USB from your PC/device, wait a few seconds and then plug it back in.
You'll suddenly see your phone and your PC syncing.
Hallelujah!

How do you get music to save on a new 4gb memory card on a nokia E5 instead of saving in phone memory

Transfer music from a computer
You can use the following methods to transfer music:

• To install Nokia Ovi Player to manage and organize your music files, download
the PC software from www.ovi.com, and follow the instructions.

• To view your device on a computer as a mass memory device where you can
transfer any data files, make the connection with a compatible USB data cable
or Bluetooth connectivity. If you are using a USB data cable, select Mass
storage as the USB connection mode. A compatible memory card must be
inserted in the device.

• To synchronize music with Windows Media Player, connect a compatible USB
data cable, and select PC Suite as the USB connection mode. A compatible
memory card must be inserted in the device.

To change the default USB connection mode, select Menu > Ctrl. panel >
Connectivity > USB and USB connection mode.

I hope this information will be helpful. Thank you for using FixYa!

Hi how do i transfer my pictures from my HTC T8282 onto Picasa in my laptop please

Easy. there are three possible solutions. With the android system its even easier. You can start by plugging the USB connector into your computer. If the screens pops up (on your phone) about what kind of connection you'd like to have you simply choose the data transfer option. Your phone will then show up as an external drive on your computer. If that doesn't work, you can get an adapter for an SDMicro, plug it in and voila! It will show up as an external drive. Finally, If all else fails and you happen to have a computer with bluetooth capabilities, you can connect to your phone as a device by making your phone discoverable and transfer the data that way.

I want to connect my HTC mobile with my computer through data cable.

1.) Check setting for data transfer within your phone settings.

1st plug your htc touch cell phone in your computer.
2nd it should respond... if not... it is not a plug & play device...
You should have a c.d. for a driver detection... And if it responds...
Choose the data transfer option... You should be now be able to transfer files via c.p. to p.c. connection...

I have albums in my pc and want to transfer the albums to my nokia 97?

Not sure if you meant photo album or music album??? Here is the steps for both, music first:

Transfer music from a
computer
You can use the following methods to transfer
music:
● To install Nokia Music to manage and organise
your music files, download the PC software from
www.music.nokia.com/download, and follow
the instructions.
● To view your device on a computer as a mass
memory device where you can transfer any data
files, make the connection with a compatible USB
data cable or Bluetooth connectivity. If you are
using a USB data cable, select Mass storage as
the connection mode.
● To synchronise music with Windows Media
Player, connect a compatible USB data cable, and
select Media transfer as the connection mode.
To change the default USB connection mode, select
Menu > Settings and Connectivity > USB > USB
connection mode.

This works for music, photos, or video:
Select Menu > Settings and Connectivity >
USB.
To have the device
ask the purpose of
the connection
each time a
compatible data
cable is connected,
select Ask on connection > Yes.
If the Ask on connection option is turned off or you
want to change the mode during an active
connection, select USB connection mode and from
the following:
● PC Suite — Use Nokia PC applications such as
Nokia Ovi Suite, and Nokia Software Updater.
● Mass storage — Transfer data between your
device and a compatible PC.
● Image transfer — Print images with a
compatible printer.
● Media transfer — Synchronise music with Nokia
Music or Windows Media Player.

Usb software

be sure you have Microsoft ActiveSync installed: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/default.mspx
once this is installed, then connect you phone and follow the steps to sync. Once connected, you should be able to browse the contents of your phone from My Computer (copy and paste files or whatever).
