I have an ILO model 2706. The sound on Channel 21 is fuzzy. all the rest of them are clear. I have a tv in the son's room and it works good. They are hooked to cable--the same circuit. I have dialed the phone # provided, but the number is evidently disconnected. Any help would be appreciated

Re: ILO Model 2706
This sounds like an IF problem or it could be a tuner issue. Since it only occurs on channel 21. You are going to need an RF/IF signal generator and an Oscilloscope to troubleshoot this problem. If you do not have these tools and or do not know how to use them I would suggest taking this set to a qualified TV repair facility.
I hope this helps,

I think you are confusing the channel on the tv and the channel of the cable company that is not something that you can pick up with the scan tv, scan tv is good for picking up local channel meaning air channel that we get with a antenna only not the cable chanel
This TV might have been affected by the power outage even if it was not ON at that moment. There is a standby voltage still present even when OFF and connected to the AC line.
There might be different failures on this TV:
1. The power supply might be defective after the power outage.
2. The main board could also be defective since the power supplies for today's TVs are not well regulated and once the voltage getting to the power supply increases, the standby voltage voltage will also increase damaging voltage sensitive components like the microprocessor or memory circuitry.
One channel with bad sound is most likely the station/cable or satellite provider at fault. With the channels changing on thier own look for a stuck button on the TV set such as the channel up or down. You might try unplugging the TV for 2 minutes and then trying to see if resetting fixes it.

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information http://www.freeview.co.uk/_retuneinfo/ If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.
