- Got laser. When I felt the DVD on the spindle it "wants to move" and if I give it a little "push" it takes off for a second...

maybe, or the laser can focus on the disc. take the disc out and see if the lase lens moves up and down, and if it has a red light, but dont look down in the lens it can burn your retna.

- i think your laser is weak you can try and clean it .
