Its highly likely a cable issue. You know which cable connection is wrong if are using component in and out. But change to a new connection cable whatever it is and I think it will be solved

Hello

Does your TV have two
separate video inputs, or just two sets of video input jacks and only ONE
video input

Try disconnecting your VCR from the TV (or turning it off) and see if the
color comes back on your DVD.

Also make sure that your video connections are properly connected(check your manual for how to connect the AV cable)

Also, try playing the DVD in your computer and see if it is black and
white on your computer monitor too. If so, then it is supposed to be in
black and white.

Hi,
Well, although it may be the receiver, it may may be your video monitor. I looked over the manual on line for your unit. The connections to your receiver going to your video monitor (i.e. projection, or flat screen, etc. are of a "pass-through" type specifically for the video images. That is not the case with the audio side. In other words your Onkyo passes (or patches through) video signals without altering them. It is so that you don't need to a lot of remote controls to enjoy being entertained.
It could be a problem with the mechanical relays that do the switching or it is directly in the video monitor or TV.
Here is a simple diagnostic procedure for checking this. You may have already done this. Simply take video (yellow) single cable and yellow output from the DVD player and connect it to the yellow Video one or Video 2 inputs directly on your Monitor or projector and see if it is showing a pink image or a natural one. You don't even have to connect up the audio.
If it is still pink. It's the the video monitor, (TV)
If the color is correct, then it's the receiver switching circuitry . Considering the base quality of the receiver, it is worth servicing.

The reverse switch on my Hampton Bay ceiling fan didn't work. I cut the 6 wires; 1 white, 1 gray, 2 pink, 2 yellow. Here's what I did. Removed reverse switch. Had 6 wires white, gray, 2 yellow, 2 pink. Connected gray to yellow, connected white to pink and fan runs fine. Is this OK? I do not need to reverse fan. It's been running for 1 hour now with no problems. Don S.

Try to play with DVD player. Also try to test on another inputs. If the problem persists, the main board may be defective. Another reson could be the T-con board. To find out whether the T-con board or main board cause problem, you need open the TV and check inside.

OK no problem here. I can help. First reconnect the DVD Player to the tv using the Compoment cables. Match Green to Green,Red to Red and Blue to Blue.. If this is done correctly then you will have normal looking picture. If the picture looks like it is missing the RED color then switch both Red cables. The pix should look normal. Then connect the RED and White audio cables to the audio inputs . Now the Pinkish color is a result of the DVD Player not being set to the "Progressive" setting in the DVD Player Menu. It will help to connect a set of COMPOSITE cables from the DVD Player to the TV's Composite Input. Those are the Yellow,Red and White inputs on both the tv and the DVD Player. This will allow you to see the DVD player menu in case you cannot see the menu while in the Component input. The Pinkish picture should go to a Normal picture.

Try doing a reset of the TV first. On Panasonics this is done with the TV on and then pressing on the POWER and ACTION (on the fron of the TV only) buttons at the same time until the screen blanks out or a diagnostic screen appears. Once you do this all custom functions (color, tint, channel memory) will be back to factory defaults.
