Hi,

Unplug the Printer and Disconnect it from the Power Supply. Then Turn it Back ON, after few minutes say 30 minutes, that would fix the Problem.

If Problem Persists, Check the Machine Once again to make sure that you do not have any Paper Jam.

Refer the Manual to Clear Paper jam, if any. If you do not have the Manual, Revert to me and i would be glad to Offer you the Manual.

In fact, Check Below Link to Clear Paper Jam :-

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00438945&lc=en&cc=us&product=454816&dlc=en#

Now,

If there is No Paper and still the Message is there, more likely, the sensor has gone bad and needs replacement.

If under Warranty, get it replaced without any Charge unless Hp would charge you more than half the amount to get this Fixed. Still not a Bad idea to call and have a Quote and if the amount is too high, do not shy of asking for exchange in lieu of this. They could Offer you a Nice Discount as Christmas is already here :)

Note - Also Try to remove the Cartridges and again Re-Seated them Properly.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

We have HP Photosmart 8050. We had a paper jam but was able to clear it. However, it will not print from the computer. We were able stat and color alignment page, so we know paper is getting through and...

There will be something in there, whether it is toner/ink over a sensor, a paperclip/staple, or a tiny scrap of paper.
The trick with this one is patience, methodically strip it down as far as you can, checking as you go for stuck material, and once you have gone as far as you can put it back together nice and slowly, looking for broken connections and loose bits, then try it again.

If there is nothing in there then the printer has something broken and needs looking at by a technician, in this case you should turn to your warrenty.

Hi, I'm Ron a Disabled Frustated Senior Citizen. I have or the AX is going to get it. HP Photosmart 8050. 1, ONE Peice of paper Jamed. Now the RED Light is Blinking? No Idea. Also it says Print Cartridge...

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

Good luck..

I have an HP Photosmart 8050 printer that gives me a paper jam message after each print job

Hi,
i,d suggest that the paper sensor is faulty.
try unplugging your printer, and setting it back up.
alternatively, hold down the paper-jam button if it,s flashing.

HP Photosmart 8050 printer won't load paper.

hello SuperVicky, rollers on the printer do not go that often on the other hand the usage of the printer is a factor ie how much printing you do or age if old. Normally paper roller should allow you print quite a few thousands before wearing out. what i will advise is to look keenly in the printer shuold in case you have any particules in the paper path of the printer or after paper jam it is possible to have a residue left in the printer. all these can be a problem.
