I have 2 audiobahn 12 inch 500 watt awc12t dvc woofers with 2 pos and 2 neg hook ups on each side of the speakers like this (- -) (+ +) and the same on opp side i need to know how to wire them to each...

OK. Sometimes manufacturers put two flat prongs to each of the positives and negatives of the voice coils. This allows for daisy chaining multiple subs to be easier. Here is how you want to wire your subs in the box.

From the positive post of the box to the positive posts of both voice coils (just choose one prong on each of them, you do not have to connect all 4 of them). So you will have 2 wires going from one post on the box to 2 posts on the sub. Got it. Not go from the negative post on the box, to both negative posts on the subs. Repeat this with the other sub. Now you can hook each channel of the amp to the box regularly pos of amp to pos of box and neg of amp to neg of box.

This set up is called parallel and will drop the ohms resistance of two 4 ohm voice coils to a 2 ohm load. You will get 2 ohms for each sub, thus connecting one sub to each channel. This will allow you to get the max power out of the amp or 150w RMS per your post. Hope this helps.

I have two audiobahn aw1206t 12in. subs in a box hooked to a 100.1 american bass amp its 1000 watt mono block. i also ran a capacitor due to my lights dimming. but for some reason my amp keeps kicking over...

This could be caused due to the impedance load being to low. Your amp is stable to 2 ohm load however its very possible that you have your subs wired to a 1 ohm load that would cause the amp to go into protect mode. The subs you have are dual 4 ohm voice coils and would need to be wired in series/parallel. I've included a link that will show you how the subs should be wired.

1 Answer trying to find a diagram on how to wire my subs down to 1 ohm..i have 2 12 in. Audiobahn alum12n..they are currently runnimg at 3 ohms on a hifonics 2500 watt 1 channel amp that only supports 1 2...

Hi, if you wire all voice coils in parallel, you will get down to 1.5 ohms. That is the lowest you can go with these 2 subs. Just hook the amps' positive to all 4 positive speaker terminals and the amp negative to all 4 speaker negative terminals. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

I need to hook up two audiobahn A1200Q subs to a A1300hcq amp

The amplifier is only stable to 2 ohms.
Assuming the cubs are dual 4 ohm voicecoils - a 2 ohm load with 2 subs is not possible.
You can only wire up 1 dual 4 ohm voicecoil sub (both positives to amp... and both negatives to amp) to get a 2 ohm mono load.

Thanks for using FixYa -a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.

What type of enclosure for audio bahn aw1000x

I used to be an Audiobahn dealer and can help you with the box. However I can't find specs on that model in my records or on Audiobahn's website. If you email me ( the Theile Small parameters for the subs I can give you more exact specs. The box should be ported (Audiobahn doesn't recomend a sealded box) with about 2.5 cubic feet, made of 3/4" MDF. Here are some generic specs that should go well with that particular sub.

Air Space (Cu. Ft.) 2.4

Port Size (Inches) 4 x 6.25

Tune Freq. (Hz) 39
