Re: help with hook up
A lot of people buy digital TV's only to discover that they need to
upgrade the rest of their stuff as well. You can hook up the dvr
and vcr with composite or component cables of course, but that isn't

Hi Jatinder Kumar ,
Yes you can connect your computer output to lcd tv through dvi-hdmi cable or vga-hdmi cable.
1. Connect to HDMI (DVI) : just plug in HDMI (DVI) out of PC or laptop to HDMI or DVI TV. Than select source from HDMI.
2. Connect to PC : Plug D sub to TV, select PC in.
This model TV has specs for DVI, VGA, component video and S-video inputs. Are you using a DVI-HDMI cable? In that case, check your cable specs. DVI-I and DVI-D (single link and dual link) are not interchangeable and I would guess you have the wrong one connected to the HDMI for your unit.
Use the Time Warner remote and hit the settings button twice. Scroll down to "audio: digital out" and select HDMI. That solved it for me.
The only issue I have now is that I also have component sound outputs going from the cable box to a receiver. When I turn off the TV while the HDMI cable is hooked up to both the box and the tv the sound goes out to the receiver...
Hi CrysR, Although you may not be able to locate a cable with one HDMI male end and one USB male end, it is possible you may find a solution with an adapter. I recommend looking for an adapter that will accept USB input and output to either HDMI or DVI. If you only locate DVI, you can then add a DVI to HDMI adapter at the end. Be aware with these extra pieces and signal transfers included, it may degrade the quality of your picture. Thank you, Jason,

Hi, I'm afraid that not only a cable is needed but an analog (vga) to digital (dvi) converter/scaler as well. The iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12 can hook up to a PC using the DVI-I connection only. As you said, your computer has the standard 1D15 pin VGA connector.
Another possibility is if your video card has a composite video output (normally a color yellow RCA female) or an S-Video output which will both connect direct to your iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12. For the RCA connection all you need is an ordinary RCA to RCA shielded wire cable and for the S-Video, an S to S Video cable will work. There is of course the question about the quality or the resolution.
Good luck and hope that this be of some help to you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.
