Problem for Kenmore 16602 / 16604 / 16609 Built-in Dishwasher

587 Doesn't work well

I bought a Kenmore 487 last week. I ran it once with liquid / gel soap, which left big clumps all over the dishes and nothing was clean. I had to re-wash everything by hand. I decided to try some new soap - dry - and it worked better, but it didn't come out of the dispenser completely and most of the soap was sitting on the bottom of the dishwasher when it was done. I just started another wash without adding any soap, and it seemed to work better. I realize it's not a top of the line model, but I've only run the dishwasher three times since I bought it, and my dishes have gotten clean once - and then not completely. Am I using too much soap or does it need to just run a couple of times before it works? Any other suggestions to try before I get totally frustrated?

- That was apparently the problem. When my husband went to turn off the water so he could see if this was the problem, he discovered that the person we had install the dishwasher had not turned our water back on all the way. I haven't tried again yet, but hopefully, I'm on my way to clean dishes. Thank you.

it sounds like your not getting the proper water fill also you need to get the water as hot as you can at the sink before starting the washer turn the washer on listen for it to fill then open the door and tell me how much water is in it

AS ABOVE SUGESTION ...PROBUBLY NOT GETTING ENOUGH WATER. NOT LIKELY THE FAULT OF THE DISHWASHER PROBUBLY SEDIMENT FROM THE WATER PLUGED THE INLET SCREEN OF THE FILL VALVE. MANY TIMES THE MOVING OF A FLEXIBLE PLUMBING LINE BRAKES LOOSE ANY SEDIMENT AND DEPOSIT DURING THE INSTALATION OF A NEW DISHWASHER WHICH IS WHY MOST ADVISE REPACING THIS SMALL FLEXIBLE LINE WHEN INSTALLING A NEW DISHWASHER. YOU WILL HAVE TO DIS ASSEMBLE VALVE TO CLEAN SCREEN ...IF YOU BOUGHT THE PROTECTION AGREEMENT OR HAD SEARS INSTALL IT THEY SHOULD COVER A SERVICE CALL TO CLEAN THE VALVE.
