Hi Friend, In this case I would recommend you to please check if the BSNL modem is the wireless modem or the Wired modem. If it is a wireless modem then you can connect your system wirelessly to internet , provided that the laptop has the wireless card in it.
If it is a wired modem then you can connect your system with the LAN cable to that modem in each slots to get connected to the Internet.

BSNL is ADSL connection, and you will need the username and the password from BSNL to get the Router working with the Modem, make sure you have the Correct username and password from your ISP which is BSNL, that will fix your issue.

First get IP of Siemens SL_2 141, start- run -cmd- ipconfig /all
Note down Default Gateway IP address ( Generally 192.168.1.1)
Type it in Internet Explorer address bar and hit enter
put username admin, pass admin
Click Wirelles then in Basic setup, Enable Wireless, Enter SSID as BSNL, transmission mode 802.11g, then remaining option as auto, do not keep security now let it be disabled, click apply or save and rebot the router.
Install Netgear software in ur desktop let search for ssid BSNL and connect automatically. Once connection gets establish then set security WEP-PSK and put password also in Netgear u have to mention same password whil connecting.

Secured Wireless is better than a unsecured one. Configuring a secured wireless network easy.
· First Check it the Wireless is turned on in the modem.
You must see the wireless light glow on.
Wireless LAN (WLAN) should be Enabled before configuring the wireless network
· To make sure, if the WLAN is enabled you can check the WLAN light glow.
· If it is off, then you can be sure that WLAN is disabled.

I think the modem that you have is a type one.
which can only be connected using the ehternet cable .
please go to your nearest bsnl divisional and center and ask for type 2 wireless modem
you have to buy that.

well that was easy, you havent detailed any problems to rectify.
assuming there is a connectivity problem sharing the broadband connection,
buy a cheap router, or switch, and install between the cable modem and all 4 pcs

just connect ur isp cable straight 2 ur modem..then a cable from ur modem 2 ur router..

it looks like the BSNL Tyope two wireless has also a built in router with wireless security. the wireless has to be configured with a SSID (Service Set Identifier) and a password to be on the safe side with your wireless (password protected). the SSID is the name of your wireless in your wireless router (you can pick a custom name just make sure you change the default name). once the SSID is configured together with the SSID broadcasting, when you look for wireless networks with your laptop you should see your custom SSID. just double click on it and enter the password you set in the step before.
