Use the second key from the left, under the lcd....then change it back to the channel you want to use....Also look for an (A) (active) or for nothing displayed at the top right of the display....

It has to be performed with the computer program that was used to program the channels on the portable radio.

You cannot unlock your tk-270g coz this radio belong to fixed frequency.....

As long as you're cloning from one Kenwood TK series to another of the same series, You don't need the keyboard, you need the cloning software, available online at

You cannot transfer data between radios via the keyboard anyway.

Hin, On most new models of Kenwood two-way radios, the user can lock the MENU and up/down buttons. To lock/unlock, press on the menu button (a second or 2) until you hear a beep or till the lock icon in the display appear/disappear. Hope this be of some help/idea.
