Question about OKI MICROLINE 320 Turbo Matrix Printer

1 Answer

Printer won't print labels

My ML320 Turbo simply won't print labesl (Avery 4145 style). The printer does between 3 and maybe 6 labels, then stops. The alarm light flashes and the HSD and PROP lights on the front panel are lit.

Print quality of the labels that do print is spotty, too. New Oki ribbon.

Why does hp officejet Pro 8600 crashes when printing avery labels?

Avery labels may be blocked on your computer so check your security settings. Other wise you may need to refresh the page, your computer or the printer. If that doesn't help you may need to double check your ink cartridges are full and correctly placed, also that the wires connecting the printer to your computer are all in properly.

Im trying to print avery labels but my printer does not have a setting for it

Normally support for printing Avery Labels is found within the application you are using to create the labels to be printed, i.e. in Microsoft Office Word or similar publishing programs. . . .Avery provide a Wizard extension to use in Microsoft Word to help you to produce and print on their labels. . . .See for further details and to download the Wizard. . . .Note: You need to allow Macros to execute within Microsoft Word in order to use the Avery Wizard.

Xerox 6280 - need to print labels on a sheet of 30 labels

Shouldn't be a problem, provided you use labels that are intended for a laser printer. Inkjet labels can wreck your laser printer (inkjet labels can't cope with the heat of the fuser in a laser printer).

Use the right template in your Wordprocessor package for the labels you are using (or create a custom label layout in your Word processor).

Use the Multi Purpose Feeder input tray (fold down from the front door), put the labesl face down, print (making sure that you tell the printer to use Labels and the MPF. It's important to tell the printer that you are using labels, as these are thicker, and need more heat from the fuser (especially if you are printing several sheets of labels, as this cools the fuser a little)

Okidata 320 turbo microline prints jibberish

sounds like a job was sent to the printer with the wrong driver. There is no way to purge it just load some paper and let it run until it stops. They make sure your emulation matches the driver youa are using. Example Epson 9pin compatiable or OKI ML320 Turbo-IBM drive you want the emulation set to Epson FX. Or if using the OKI ML320 Drive you want the emulation set to ML.

I have an HP3200 series all-in-one printer, and I am trying, unsucessfully, to print Avery Brand #3268 notecards on it, using my own photos. The Avery type is on my Scrapbooking program, but all I get...

Today's printers are a lot smarter. I am guessing that you have a HP Laserjet 3200 All-in-One device.
If this is correct, the Avery Label #3268 is for Inkjet printers. If you are using the template from Avery and maybe their software, it maybe looking for an inkjet printer and therefore not sending the correct codes to the printer to print the notecards. (Looking for inkjet and finds a laserjet.)

I would I also recommend going to and look for and download the PCL-based printer driver for the HP Laserjet 3200 printer. If you can get the the HP PN (Part Number) and the HP SN (Serial Number), I can get more detailed information for you. Let me know what happens.

Printer Jam - when i put a sheet of Avery labels, printer jams

When you say TOP TRAY, do you mean a paper drawer, or the BYPASS TRAY? If the labels won't feed into the bypass but bond paper does, check to see if your labels are made for inkjet printers. Go to and contact Avery customer support to see what product they recommend for your MFC. Labels made for plain paper printers sometimes do not work for inkjets, and vice-a-versa.
