Mitel Superset 420 corded phone has static

Static on the handset of a MITEL phone is indicative of either a defective handset cord **OR** the user has one of those cord detangler devices attached to the cord. If it's a cord detangler, remove it, smash it with a hammer and throw it away. Advise the end-user to please not use these as they all become staticky after several weeks use. If the user has problems with their handset cord constantly becoming tangled, THAT PROBLEM is indicative of neck or ear fatigue from frequent LONG CALLS and the user keeps moving the handset from one ear to another (changing hands). THE FIX FOR THIS is to give the user either a corded or cordless headset (or check SMDR records for excessive personal calls)

Your clock on your telephone is displaying the "system time" which can be changed at the attendant console the receptionist uses. Go to the console and push the FUNCTION KEY, then press ATT FUNCTION, then press SET TIME, enter the current time using four digits, ie. 09:30, then press PM if applicable, then press SET. SET will only appear as an option if the time has been enteed correctly, you can use the back arrow button to make corrections. Then push EXIT.

Message system does not work, system wide or just at your ext.? If it doesn't work system wide you have big problems. If it is only at your ext. your call forwarding maybe turned off. press superkey then press next til you see call forward and set it up. You Need to know pilot number to Voicemail.
