Text messages are not the only thing that uses up memory in the V3C. Have you added any of the following to your V3C?

1. Pictures
2. Videos
3. Ring tones

The first 2 items can eat up a lot of memory. Try deleting some of these to free up memory space.

Good Luck,

- Jim

I saw this problem mentioned on another site. Here's what they said:

Option #1: Have you set up your text messages to save to phone memory? You need to do that first. Also, have found out that the Razr prefers all your phone numbers to be saved to phone memory too -

check on Message setup and see if your memory meter has gone down after that.

    Option #2:

Click on Message Then Settings Then All Messages select auto erase —> it settings should be defaulted to Off, click on On.

Once you do this the memory full issue is gone. Now what else does it effect, well you will need to keep checking to make sure it is not causing other ills. This worked for me, it might not for you but worth a try.

Option #3: Call your carrier and have them reprovision your messaging settings on their end.

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I HAVE A MOTOROLA RAZR- NOT SURE WHICH ONE-THE MEMORY LOW MESSAGE COMING UP. DONT KNOW HOW TO DELETE TEXT MESSAGES. HELP!

To delete text messages you go into your indox under "messages", highlight the message you would like to delete, press the menu key and select delete.
Your "memory low" message keeps coming up because your memory not only holds your messages but EVERYTHING else as well.....pics, games, ringtones, etc. Try getting rid of things you don't need to gain more space. You might want to look into getting a SD card if your phone is capable. Hope this helps you. :)

Why do I have to call my voicemail to retrieve text messages on my motorola V3c

Your inbox should show messages received. Make sure you have chosen to save your incoming messages

Texting problem

in your messaging screen, choose settings (soft key). Under "all messages" choose option 2 "auto erase". Switch this to on. If you also switch "auto save" to on, it will store up to 50 texts before deleting the oldest text as new ones are received. Anyway, turning auto erase on is the way to fix your problem. I don't know what it is, but razrs can be finicky like that sometimes.

Hello Giggles,

It could be possible that your memory is full.

Try deleting some old messages and even cleaning out your sent items.

If you need instructions on how to do this, give me a shout.

Full memory Problems!

Hey Travis,

Text Messages are stored onto your SIM card and not your phone. You would have to clean out your mail box (clean out old messages in your inbox, sent messages and outbox).

Hope this helps,
cHiPz.
