Question about Frigidaire Affinity ATF7000EG

1 Answer

Just installed, will not work

Just took delivery of this unit yesterday. Got it plugged in, hooked up to the water, was ready to start washing.

The buttons all work properly to set up for the particular wash cycle, but the unit does not start when the start button is pushed. No water fills the cylinder, nothing.

Should I just call Frigidaire since it's still under warranty??

New washing machine model wtw4800xq will not begin fill cycle -delivered yesterday and filled - not today?

Make sure it is level and that the drain hose is hooked up properly and not clogged. Check all electrical and water connections to make sure they are tight and turned on. Other than that You will need to call the people whom you purchased this and have them look at it becasue if you start trying to repair anything by taking it apart the warranty will be void. One other thing you can check is the pump filter under the tub. something may have gotten inside and plugged it up. If there is any water left in the machine it will not start filling.

Start load of wash, starts to spin, no water though, then flashes an F and H, eventually stops and machine starts to beep. I just did wash yesterday and haven't tampered with water levels, so can't quite...

FH means that the machine hasn't detected enough water entering the machine or possibly you have a problem with your pressure switch.

Potential Causes

If there is no water in the unit: • Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way. • Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves • Verify inlet valve operation

If there is water in the unit: • Verify Drain pump operation • Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and

Pressure switch • Verify there is not a siphon problem • Verify wire harness connections to; Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump,

Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU) • Check all hoses for possible leaks • Verify pressure switch operation • Verify flow meter operation • Verify CCU operation

Hi we have just bought (today) a Zanussi ZWF14069W. It lights up- ready to start but does not start a wash. It has filled with water - which we've managed to drain out to begin a fresh cycle. But it's not...

if its never worked. have you connected the waste hose to a spigot pipe under the sink . check that the blanking plug has been removed from under the spigot or in some cases you have to cut off the end so water will pass. The end of the waste hose has an orange plug in it on delivery if its still in remove it. hope that helps.

My Servis M6725 washing machine gradually fills with water even when it is switched off. We have tried changing the inlet valve but it still happens.

this is very comon review
decided to buy a Service M6725 machine. I bought one from Argos 'express delivery'. Installed it in a matter of minutes and did a cleaning wash. From then on the machine refused to work. Argos kindly replaced the machine (with the same model) and all seemed fine for a couple of weeks and then for no apparent reason the spin cycle would not perform. Yesterday a Service engineer arrived to 'sort' out the problem. He told me that the no spin was because of an unbalanced load and the machine was working correctly and left me to try more washing. Same result. House full of dripping washing and an angry wife. I am replacing the machine with another brand. ...

If water remains in the drum after the drain cycle, the unit will not go into the spin cycle. There may be a couple of reasons for your problem.
Make sure the drain hose is raised above the machine hose outlet to create a siphon effect. The drain hose needs to have a loop in it to work correctly. You can tie a string around the hose and hook it on the water valve creating a loop in the hose. Raise the loop of the drain hose so the top of the loop height is at the center of the washer drum.

Lg washing machine wft855a top loader

Following up my comment from yesterday, I took the machine apart and discovered that the black rubber cover on the valve that releases the cold water had perished and cracked, and wasn't opening properly.
I tested the hot and cold solenoids and everything checked out ok. Was just the cold valve sticking.
The wash cycle was working because I was using hot/warm water. As the rinse cycle needs cold water to get started, it was not working and the rinse and spin cycles wouldn't complete.
I have swapped the valves over for now (put the working hot one on the cold side and am using cold water only). It's working while I order a replacement...
