How to fix expired GLOBE sim card?

Hi,

With this issue, we need Globe's assistance. Follow the instructions below.
  1. Enter the number *#06# in your phone's keypad and press OK.
  2. This gives you the 15-digit International Mobile Equipment Identification (IMEI) number, which your provider will use to give the unlock code for your specific phone. Write it down and keep it handy.
  3. Contact Globe and ask for an unlock code. Verify your account information and provide the IMEI number. Write down the unlock code for you will use it to unlock the sim card.
  4. Remove the cover and battery. Insert the Globe SIM card.
  5. Turn on your cell phone. Enter the unlock code and press the "OK" button. Your phone will activate to your provider's network and will let you use the Globe SIM card again.

I have my N79 mobile phone and im having problem on how to fix this barred sim but its not because i forgot the password or the keypad lockcode. i dont know how it happened. i just wanted it to be fixed...

Once your sim card is barred you have no other go..
Contact your nearest sim service or dealer and tell them the problem..
They will provide you a new sim card for some small price.
Also they will check the details of the person in which the card is registered and verify it..
if you have saved your contacts in sim card try to contact the link:
http://www.unlock-zone.com
Contact them and purchase a unlock code for some small price.
An invalid sim error is most probably due to a locked phone..
Thank you for using fixya..

The screen has separated from the keypad, phone appears to be operational (keypad lights). Contacts are stored internally, not on the sim card. I need a way to copy contacts to sim card. ATT store clerk...

Red key (to make sure you're on the home screen)
Left key (menu)
3 (Address book)
5 (Copy All Contacts)
2 (Handset to SmartChip)
1 to Keep original, 2 to Delete original (I'd keep it, just in case this doesn't work)
(Beep)
1 (Yes to confirmation)
Wait for another beep
Done.

Save all contacts to sim card

you can save all your contacts to you sim if your sim memory is not full. Follow these steps:

unlock keypad, select "contacts" option from menu then select "copy" option in "contacts". Selecting "copy" will left you with two options : 1. From sim card to phone.
2. From phone to sim card.

Then select "From phone to sim card". It will ask "One by one" or all.

You can select any option and contacts will be copied to your sim card. If its ask for "delete original" or "keep original" , its your choice to keep copy of contacts in sim card or not.

Sim Card

Hello Natalie im glad to say I have a solution for you now follow the steps I give to you and in a moments time you will have all your contacts off your sim card and into your motorola. OK here we go, while your phone is in idle mode go to contacts then push the options button located in the middle of the black surrounding navigation buttons located on your keypad then scroll down to copy, now at this moment your contacts should be in your sim card. After entering the highlighted copy to options will open choose the one that says "all to phone" and that should solve your problem. If not choose the "enties" options in copy press change with "entries:...." highlighted add everyone else in your sim card and press done then your problem will now be fixed. hope I really helped bye!

Thats a cool phone, pity its screen is broken.... Here is my suggestion
  • If you got keypad lock then unlock the phone
  • Go to menu usually by pressing the top right key...
  • Press 8, which should take you to contacts
  • Press the top right key which would take you to More
  • Press up using the joystick, this should highlight Options
  • Then press the middle of joystick, which would take you into options
  • Press up using the joystick again, this should highlight Advanced
  • Press 5 to backup the contacts to memory card or press 8 to back up your contacts to SIM
Check the memory card or Sim on another phone...

INSERT SIM

Either your sim card is not seated correctly, the contacts are dirty, the sim card is dead, the copper contacts in the phone do not reach the sim card or the electronics in the phone are faulty. I guess the technician has already checked most of these common problems and the phone itself is to blame. Did you try another card?
