Question about Samsung PS42P2S 42 in. Plasma Television
I Have a ps-42p2st samsung plasma 42", We move to a new palce and lost power cord, remote control and manual. A friend recomend me to use a standard computer power cable that actual fits in it, I tried but it does nothing at all. Any suggestions? I am worried that the TV might have been damage during the moving! Shall I try to find the original power cord, Any suggestion to where I can get these?
many thanks in advance.
Yes, a computer power cord is the same.
Without physical sign of damage, it will be hard to induce the movers to cover the problem. You will need to take it into a reputable TV shop and get their evaluation that whatever is wrong is due to the move. Its odd that it failed while off, however of course all these new TVs are not near as reliable as the old ones. Might just be a dislodged connector inside.
Hope Ya Fix It!

Tips for a great answer:
Try doing this:
Self-check indication only:
Produce TV reception screen, and while pressing [VOLUME ( - )] button on the main unit, press [OK] button on the remote control
for more than 3 seconds.
Self-check indication and forced to factory shipment setting:
Produce TV reception screen, and while pressing [VOLUME ( - )] button on the main unit, press [MENU] button on the remote
control for more than 3 seconds.
Disconnect the AC cord from wall outlet.
This is straight out of the service manual.
