The middle button does not work. i cannot select anything. everything else works perfectly fine. i have a case and never dropped it once. please help thank you thank you.

Try resetting the iPod. To do this, turn on the iPod and hold down the middle (select) button and the play button at the same time. Hold buttons down until the screen turns off then back on. NOTE: This will NOT delete your iPod content.

Ipod will not shut off or do anything. menu stays on.

Flip on the hold switch, then flip it off. After that hold down both the middle button and the menu button. This will reset the ipod. If this doesnt work you may have to just let the battery die.

Ipod 4th gen nano is frozen on the language selection screen.

That could be one of two problems: Either the cord of the click wheel has been disconnected from its socket which will be an easy fix and you only have to pay labor, or you may just need a new click wheel which should still be cheap.

I have a new Ipod touch and I can receive emails on RR but cannot send or forward emails on RR. I would appreciate a step-by-step guide to set-up RR for sending email or forwarding emails....

Try this...
1) On your Ipod Touch select "Settings." 2) Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars." 3) Under Accounts select your "" account. 4) Under the "Outgoing Mail Server" heading select "SMTP." 5) Under "Primary Server" it should indicate ""RR SMTP Sever" (or something to that effect)  - If so, make sure that the "Server" is switched to the "On" position.  (If it was originally switched off then switching it on should do the trick.
 - If not, continue to Step 6. 6) On the "SMTP" page select "Add Server..." 7) Fill out the fields accordingly.  If you are unsure of the information check with you service provider (in this case Road Runner).  - In most cases it would likely be "," plus you own "User Name" and "Password." 8) Select "Save"

My ipod middle button doesnt work what can i do help

This usually happens if the membrane of the action button deteriorates and the gold plated contacts between membrane and logic board do no longer establish good contact.
There are specialized online tutorials with iPod Repair instructions that will guide you through the steps of taking it apart and cleaning the contact or replacing the button altogether otherwise you'll have to send it to any third party iPod repair service and they'll replace the membrane for you.

Apple iPod Model A1136, 30 GB.

First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top or bottom and slides back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. Once it is to the left, here's how you reset:

You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will shut off, then back on.
