Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions

Keno Lottery TV's

I have a TV that had been modified to use as a Keno Lotery TV. I was told that there is some sort of a card or chip that you can remove to convert it back to a normal TV. Dose anyone know if this is true or how to do it?

On power up I hold the power button down, I can hear some sort of relay kick-on, sometimes a horizontal white line appears across the screen, then it kicks-off, and the red led blinks four times...

White line across the screen indicates that tv got vertical deflection failure problem that may be due to vertical output chip failure. If that kind of problem occurred, tv select protection mode and red light starts blinking 4 times.
Please check vertical output chip in tv main board and replace it to solve tv issue. This job needs soldering work so local tv repair shop will help you.

At my job we recently had the lottery and had 2 samsung TXK2567 tvs hooked up to view keno. We got rid of the lotto where i work. I was given a TV but when you click the channel buttons it says "function...

maybe you need to change the INPUT to Tuner, It may be on an AV setting? perhaps they have the tuner "Disabled" and they were only used as "Monitors" ? You may need an antenna connected first before it locks in.?

I would say somewhere it has to have a back up battery. That is the only I would think or a memory chip of some sort. All TV's should have a reset that gets them back to default settings. If you no longer have the manual you can go on-line and usually find, I have at least.

Sansui TV, V chip accidentally set

If you are on a protected channel where you are getting the "Protected Program by TV-etc" you have to get out of that channel and go to a channel that is not protected. That will allow you to hit your "Menu" button and access the V-Chip settings on your TV. Depending on the type of TV you have, you may end up using your Vol Up button as a sort of "Enter" button. Hope that helps!

Demo mode wont go away what do i do?

Hi i,m ken I am working on this problem, I found this tv has chip problems, start at the power supply ($100) and go from there. If the power supply checks out ok check the chips, there is a way to reset the chips, also disconnect any add ons to the tv, and try that. I was told you can remove the batteries from the remote press all the buttons and reset the chips, but they did not have good results! I will keep working on this. ken

Jvc remote control

"i already paid for the tv so why pay for something that should be readely available to me in the first place I should have access to all the features on the tv ".. WRONG!!!!!!!!!You should have a warranty for this TV but it's old , anyway. First, receive a reference image (let's say CNN).Second:press "Sleep Timer" key and set the value to "0". Then press "Display" and "Video Status" keys at the same time. Third: use "Vol +/-" and " Channel +/-" to select "2.DEF(D)".Go to "D03: V.SIZE" and modify step by step the value for best fitting. There is also switch " SW401" on the main board for centering the image . Finally, press "EXIT" key till you exit the "Service Menu". Don't try to modify anything else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
