Suddenly stopped working - perfect one day and dead the next. I was told by the person installing my set top box that it was probably a small valve, easy to replace. is this correct, if so how do I go...

hi...if your friend say so it not valve rather a fuse bulb!!!! you can find it inside the casing..
try to unscrew the top casing...if you see the power supply section (mostly w/ many capacitors and power switching transistors)..
if you can find the glass like tube...if there's a light discoloration..replace it w/ same type....
also check the power cord if there's a cut or open wire....
hope this help..good day please rate and vote....

Hi there, I think the remote has had it and I am unable to get the TV off standby to turn on & off manually. I can unplug it but then I cannot turn it back on using the manual power switch on the TV....

I don't believe it is the remote. You can try a universal or get origional from
Does sound like main board or control board is faulty. Usually due to faulty capacitors that have been overheated and burnt out. You can test them with an ohmmeter

Conia CCD4501 cloths dryer not blowing hot air anymore

If you can turn it on and have the door open, hold the door switch in and see if you have a glow from the heating element. If not, your element is broken. That is if it is an electric dryer. If it is a gas dryer you need to check the pilot light or the thermo sensor.
