Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

1 Answer

SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3

My music has been working pretty good except for the music I download from Rhapsody, when I try and play the songs an orange box comes up and says, "synchronize to continue music subscription" It wasn't a big deal at the time so I haven't bothered fixing it, but today when I tried playing music that I have been listening to since I bought the player it started doing the same thing. It's really annoying not being able to play music I put on there or even from Rhapsody the music I bought and now I can't even listen to it.

Sadly this did not work for me - but what did work was to re-format my mp3 on the computer and I know it wipes everything off , but I simply loaded all my music and my problem disappeared. Thanks for your help. Regards. Deirdre.

SOURCE: Won't sync rhapsody music!!

Make sure the date/time settings on your player are accurate. Mine got reset to last year and it was thinking that my subscription was expired when it wasn't.

SOURCE: Trying to synch my SanDisk MP3 player to Rhapsody

This player is a little goofy. The normal method to synchronize is through Windows Media Player. But if you go for the Rhapsody subscription, you have to also sync the device through Rhapsody.

When i try to upload music to my sansa e260, the rhapsody tells me that there a general error with the song (error 80070570). What's that supost to mean?

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

When on click on my sansa e260 in Rhapsody I see

Try the following method to see what is on your Sansa e260

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.

If you want to delete some or all of the files do the following:
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

Sansa e260

You need to synch them to Rhapsody or whatever music service you pulled the songs from. also, make sure your music service subscription supports transfer to portable devices instead of simple transfer to a computer.

Synchronize to continue your music subscribtion???????

You have to synchronize your Sansa to a computer that has a current subscription to Rhapsody, and you have to sync the Sansa to that same computer at least once every 30 days, or the Rhapsody songs will stop working. Use a different music service that is free, or convert all of the songs to Mp3 format to get around the problem. If you get a subscription to another music svc, then you must maintain a current subscription with whatever new svc you choose as well.
