Re: i have a belkin n wireless router keeps freezing

I have the same problem on my fd57633au the problem only appears when i use torrents.. i believe the modem cannot handle too many open connections (tho i am still unsure) currently testing now limiting outgoing connections and it appears to be working fine (i can normally get the moment to halt within 5mins)

Re: i have a belkin n wireless router keeps freezing

I had same problem, my Belkin N wireless router hung up after couple days... I tried to set Cable Modem or Router..both ways
didn't work.. finally I had to connect direct to Cable modem box..
and then reset... It worked fine.. and then I reset Router & Cable
Modem... It back to work fine... I think Belkin has problem to
interface with cable modem box (Comcast)

First step of solution would be performing Reset. Press and hold the reset button about 30 seconds and release. Check again. If you need customized settings just type in your browser and get into settings.

If issue persist please post for further troubleshooting.

Good Luck

Wired connection randomly drops

Since the wireless works fine on your router, then it is possible that there is a problem either on your ethernet cable or on the port of the belkin router.
Try a different ethernet cable. (Ethernet cable is the one that is connected from your computer to the router.) If you don't have a spare cable, you can directly connect the computer to the modem, just to isolate the issue and determine if it is the cable or the computer itself.
If you have determined that the cable is working fine, then try a different port on the router.
I hope this helps!

Modem router light blinking (no wireless connection) F5D8631-4

Try restoring the Belkin back to the factory default by powering up the Belkin and pressing the RESET button on the back of the Belkin for 7 secs. Then connect a LAN cable from the computer to the Belkin, open IE browser and type the configuration IP address and configure the wireless settings ie. SSID, encryption etc. The computer wireless cards will need to be configured with the Belkin wireless settings to allow them to communicate with the Belkin.

There is no internet working with the Belkin G wireless Router

How do you have your connection set up? Normally, your modem connects to the router, and router to computers, this is how yours is set up? Since your router is wireless-capable, just make sure that your laptop has its wireless turned on and you have the router's "Wireless" set up, name (SSID) is done, security method chosen. I like WEP-PSK[TKIP] for its simplicity, keeping in mind that all logins to your network will need this passcode as well.

Surfboard Cablemodem not communicating with Belkin Wireless Routr

If the modem is actually passing out DHCP, then you have to connect the modem to the router 4 port lan side and not the wan port. Give the router a static ip like and you can talk to it and configure the wireless features.

Belkin Router not allowing an Internet connection

I found the solution. I reset the router by pressing reset for 10 seconds. Then I turned off the cable modem and the router. Started the cable modem first, let all the lights come up and then restarted the router with the cable to the cable modem plugged in. The connected light is now on and I'm able to connected wirelessly.

Belkins router not connecting to cable modem

You need to start from beginning. Clear all temp internet files and run this programme Start>Run ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter. Get into the routers settings(probably and ensure in the Lan settings that 'DHCP Server' is on and wireless is enabled.(you might need to be connected by RJ45 lan cable first) If it's a 125mbps router change settings to 54mbps to try that speed first(especially as your wireless cards will be 54 mbps) look in Mac address Filtering is off. Look in the DHCP Client list and see if your pc's were allocated ip addresses, if so it should allow an internet connection. Go to both your pc's wireless cards properties and under TCP/IP properties ensure obtain ip address automatically is checked. Restart both pc's and the router, disconnect cable and try wirelessly
