Re: washing machine

Could be anything from a faulty connection to a sick pump. Could even be splashover, the only way to find out is to remove the cover (if possible) and look hard. It may be obvious. Good luck.

Does my kenmore washer model #92389200 has a filter? It keeps leaving stains on the clothes like lint or soap residue and I read to clean it with vinegar I have put a gallon of white vinegar with hot...

it is not advisable to put actual bleach inside the washingmachine[or you could use a proprietary washing machine cleaner. Thepurpose of a maintenance wash is to remove any mold, bacteria, old detergentresidue and gunge. If using white vinegar, it is important to allow the washingmachine to fill for about 30 seconds before adding the vinegar, as the firstbit of water goes into the sump.

An excessive amount of water is coming out under my washing machine at the end of the wash cycle when draining. My email is the machine is only 2 yrs old.

the drain pump is probably cracked!! or the drain hose is lose or broken to the pump from the bottom of the pump! you will need to put the machine on it's side to check the pump and hose from the bottom of the machine where it hooks to the motor shaft

Water Building up Inside Front Load Washer when not in use

Okay, it is normal to hear water sloshing around inside the wash tub when the washer is not in use. A small amount of residual water remains in the wash tub under the wash basket (stainless steel tub), and resides in the drain line and drain pump. That's why it is important to keep the door slightly open when not in use to allow the drum to air out. The water will not evaporate, but it will help reduce the build up of odors, mold and mildew.

Now...if your washer is slowly accumulating water in the wash basket area over time, your water inlet valve is probably starting to fail. The leak can be very subtle and you may not notice it. The water only comes from one source - the fill valve via the dispenser. If you wish to replace it, the part is available at Just type in your model number and the part you need can be found under the "Dispenser" heading as item number 1. The replacement is very simple if you follow these steps:

1. UNPLUG the washer and turn off water supply.
2. Remove both fill hoses.
3. Remove the top panel of the washer by removing the screws that hold the panel in place in the rear of the washer.
4. Slide the top panel back, then it lifts off.
5. The water inlet valve is located in the left rear of the washer as facing from the front.
6. Remove the rubber hose leading from the valve and the electrical connections.
7. Remove the mounting screws holding the inlet valve in place.
8. Re-install new valve using these steps inthe reverse order given.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you have further questions, please post back and let me know.
