formatting is best for ur mob.
bcoz when you delete something that is not erased thoroughly.
it can be experienced by using tuneup utilities in computers.
so formatting is necessary, so use these steps
*#7370# for reset settings
*#7780# for soft formatting
if you want complete format turn off phone, charge fully. then press green button, * button, no. 3 button, lastly I/O(power)button simultaneously.
your phone will be formatted in 3 mins approx.

format your phone and to do so...turn your phone off then press the star button, call button, the number three button and power button all at once and pressing them until the hands appear...to know if you're successful everything on you're phone memory should have been erased

I tried all the instructions in this forum but to no avail. What I did was, i went on to the nearest service center of Nokia and they advised me to upgarde the firmware. My phone is now working again after the upgrade.
Note: i don't remember the firmware but you may just upgrade it to latest firmware version available.

Hello friends....
u dun need to panic, here's a very simple solution!

The phone memory drops basically coz of LIFEBLOG DATABASE file. You need to have some Explorer Software to access this file. Either install X-plorer v1.22 or Y-explorer etc etc.
Then follow these steps:

1. Go to C:\Data\Lifeblog\Database
2. You will find a file lifeblog.db, it is because of this file whose size varies. Usually it stays around 1 mb but sometimes it goes upto 20mb + driving out whole of the Phone Memory.
3. Try deleting this file.
4. In case it gives a message that file cannot be deleted coz it is in use by some application, then go back to folder.
5. Rename the "DATABASE" folder to any other name. Now you will be able to delete "lifeblog.db" without any error msg. After deleting that, rename the folder back to DATABASE.

Here you go....ur problem is solved!

I wud like to have ur feedbacks!

Thanks

well, that problem is about huge file size of "lifeblog db" file in phones internal memory.
suddenly internal memory falls to 144k due to the large lifeblog.db file in
c:\data\lifeblog\database\ .which u cant delete for now... Just follow this instructions carefully,,,
1) download and install the following applications:
a) Jbaktaskman v.99
b) X-plore v1.22
2. open jbtaskman and go to Tools > Processes and look for "LifeblogDBSERVER.exe" file and kill the process
3. now u can go to c:\data\lifeblog\database\ and delete lifeblog.db file
to free memory.
4. now restart phone and repeat step 2
5. again go to c:\data\lifeblog\database\ and change the attributes of lifeblog.db file to 'hidden' and 'read only' using xplore.
6. again restart phone and search for LifeblogDBSERVER.exe using jbtaskman. hopefully it wont be there to cause any further troubles. ! !
Good Luck ! ___nessalpha

What on earth is wrong with my phone. Its really annoying. And one more thinh if my phone is kept swithed off for a night and the Phone memory details it shows 22 Mb free and 22 Mb in use and before rebooting i got the details as 44 Mb in use and 175 Kb is free. memory full in n73 without having any data

Comment by ianexyza, posted on Jul 21, 2008

my phone memory is always full. I sometimes can't send and receive msgs. I already formatted my memory card and erased all data in my phone memory (contacts,notes,msgs,etc)..but still its memory is full...when i can't receive msgs, i erase the NEF folder in the phone memory, but when it gets out of memory space again, i restart my fon to receive msgs...but the problem doesnt vanish at all. If i check the memory details of my phone memory, 46MB is used and about 200KB is free. Please help me in this problem, i've been suffering from this almost half a year already. tnx.

I have the same issue of memory full in my n73 phone even there is no application installed and no music/video on it except for the contacts and message which is about 2MB in size. I tried restoring to factory default with that instruction but to no avail. I noticed that my phone book still in there. Is there any way i can reset it by completely erasing all its content?

Since I'm having a similar problem, I'd like to ask: if we perform the hard format you describe, what will be deleted? Only the data we inserted (phone book, calendar, etc.) or also the operating system, installed applications etc.?
