please do take the issue to the Gmail customer care
ur case seems to be a searious one (if u r right)
try the following link
https://services.google.com/inquiry/gmail_security1
Give the last date of logging in successfully as the last date u remember

According to GOOGLE policies, the password reset through security question can be proceeded with, only after 5 days of first attempt to reset the password.
