Question about Mitsubishi WS-55807 TV

1 Answer

Picture too big for the screen

Sometimes my WS-55807 sreen seems too small. For example, the scores that you would normally see at the top of the screen is cut off. I have tried to adjust the "display Format" but it says "format not available for HDTV now"
Is this normal? Is there any other way to adjust the picture?

    I have the same model and same problem. We recently relocated from Japan back home and shortly after my convergence went out and I had to replace the convergence amps. That done, the convergence is good but I now have the same issue as previously described where the top of the heads are cut off sometimes. I have downloaded the manual and can perform adjustments but have now test equipment. Is there an adjustment I can do to get the picture horizontally centered and the right size....Jack

If you are using any type of set top box weather it is a cable box or something along those lines, You are out of luck. The formating is controlled in whatever box is connected to tv. So to format the screen size keep this in mind. Cableboxes usually only let you adjust for 1080i and widescreen. But aspect is subjective to how they send the signal to you. Also make sure you hookup a HDTV cable box or I recommend Dish Network to this set because it is easy to operate the formating using the button on bottom left of remote. " * " STAR button is great. ALSO the DVR is larger and you can run the 2nd TV off the same box although it is Standard defination, the 2nd remote is very handy because it talks to the box via RF signals, which means no IR or line of site problems. Its awesome. If i can help you further. don't hesitate to email back. Thank you and have a good night. Jay

Good Day, Girl 1;
Hey, Girl 1, I have four girls not counting my wife . So, helping you may be difficult. Just kidding!
I would highly suspect that you have fluid on your TV's PCB's (printed circuit boards).
So, at this point that you should call an Authorized Service Center and have them give you an estimate before any repairs are performed.
If you want to try repair on your own e me at mmrkcar@yahoo.com.

Thanks you and Good Luck, big IRISH.
