Filter Pump motor is On, but no Water Circulations.

Hot SpaPool, approx.600 gallon Water, Filter Pump is on but Water is not filtering or not moving at all. ? (Salt water Spa).
I can see Motoer counts 60 making Noise, but Water is NOT moving, No Jets running...no water rotations at all.
Any suggestions?

You have probably pulled the center out of the impeller. Please shut this pump off immediately before you over heat and distort the housing and damage the motor.

You use a paper filter on this device? This has salt water in the tub? or you use salt water as a water treatment?

I think you had your spa running and you turned it off for some reason and immediately turned it back on. If there was ANY pressure in your system, that pressure was running the impeller backwards when you turned the motor back on and that is why the center is pulled out of it.

Of course there may be other reasons for this problem and you will never get anyone to admit to doing this ... but it was evidently done.

I frequently find this problem at work where I maintain three public bodies of water ... till I got rid of the 'pool attendant', that is!

1/2hp Hayward Pump for existing inground pool
you will be fine with the 1/2hp. The Hayward will move quite a bit of water as well. It may not move as much water as the 3/4hp but it's very close and the 1/2hp will cost a little less to operate so if anything, you may just have to run it for one additional hour per day to compensate. You will be surprised how much water a 1/2hp will move. The only issue with smaller pumps is if you have pop-up cleaner heads or a suction driven automatic cleaner such as a kreepy krauly, however, if a 3/4hp will run it, a 1/2hp will run it as well. You can install a larger motor on the super pump but it will not move more water unless you upgrade the impeller as well. Just make sure you don't use a bigger impeller than what the motor is rated for because it will strain the motor and cause it to overheat. Hope this helps.

It says F 21 and shuts off!! help us
Remove torx 3 screws from front panel
Put notched-out bucked under the white tubed filter
Loosen filter & let water pour out (approx. 4 gallons of water),
Clean out filter.
You'll probably find pencils, panties, coins, etc. blocking the water flow.
Look at the motor assembly on the right side next to the filter to be sure there is nothing there in the pump impeller (socks, panties etc.)
Reassemble both; make sure to line up notches on the white filter. Reassemble panel, plug in and try a load.
You should be all set!
