How do you fix this? I'm so frustrated. Reply please.

Is this procedure worth doing for the sake of the T.V?

I have a problem with my rca 27" picture tube bought in 2004. Tv will come on and all of the sudden it cuts off. Sometimes it will cut back on itself and then it just cuts back off in different times. Big problem might be my sony 35"(9 yrs old, is it the same problem or a co-insid) tv popped real loud 1day earlier and I can't get it to cut back on. I have directv but I unplugged everything to it and it still cuts off. thanks for any info.

my tv will come on, it will sometimes stay on for an hour or two and at other times it only stays on for 15 or 20 mins and then shuts off. It acts

like it wants to come back on, the led light will click on and off several times by itself and never power on. After it sits for a while, it will power

back on. I have blown it out to clear any dust. I have put a fan on it to keep

it cooled off. I have changed the batteries

CP 150 may be bad. it will be on the board to the left, toward the front behind a heat sink. if it is bad the top will be swelled. The value is 25v at 2200 uF

These ICT222 are a real pain, there is no one reason that shuts them down. They vary from defective flybacks, open or defective capacitors on the main deflection, simple cold solder joints, mabe a bad signal board or a defective pin conector to the convergance. I have worked on over 300 of these and no real problem stands out. And since most warentey shops will simply replace a entire board rather than componet level repairing the set almost all RCA suppliers are running out of these boards. Then RCA will use 4 or 5 differant boards in the same model run and this means the set has to come apart just to get the right part number. Wish I had a simple way to fix these but at this time there is none

This seems to be a regular problem with this particular model. Mine failed after 11 months and authorize repair depot could not repair it. They had four others in the shop like it. It was out of service for three months.

After much complaining to RCA (Thompson's), they replaced it.

You will need a new Power/scan board unless you have some real good troubleshooting Skills. This is the ITC222 chassis it is not very easily diagnosed without the proper diagnostic equipment, It is going into protective shutdown. Replacing the entire module is your best bet. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Since your plasma is less then a year old, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get it fix under warranty. If the plasma keeps shutting off by itself, that is not normal and should be repair.

Tv shuts off

This shutting on and off~On Durabrand TV`S. If your Tv Turns Off after about 1-11/2 minutes after turning it on then you need to replace your batteries in your remote control with BRAND NEW BATTERIES or it will keep doing it. It is a real pain in the behind especially if you dont have brand new batteries handy!
