Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54GL Router
I may have made a dumb mistake. I ordered the "GL" because I saw better reviews of it than the "G". When I tried to run the setup wizard it wouldn't run. Then I found out the L is for Linux. I have two XP PC's I haven't seen any spec which mentions operating system. Is the problem only with the setup wizard software or do I need to return this and get another router?
You can connect your xp computer directly to your modem. Then go to www.linksys.com/connect. Click on easylink connect then run it. It is recommended that you disable your firewalls and security applications before using this tool.

The whole internet is ran on "linux" or "unix" .. your computers will run fine with this router no matter what operating system. instead of using a cd to set it up goto the router configuration page in your web browser http://192.168.1.1/ the default login and pass is ussually no login and admin for the password. You can change that once in the setup. hope this helps out, good luck
