Thank u so much for trying to help. I guess my message wasnt clear enough though. The phone is not storing my "messages", I'm not having a problem with that, I can clear them, no problem. Its the "recent log" under the "add recipients" that does not clear. The "recent log" stores all the numbers you ever text messaged to. I want to clear the #'s that I've text messaged to, not regular calls, thats easy to clear. For some reason this phone stores all the #'s that you text to. If you can figure it out, i'll give u a million dollars!!! just joking of course.
If u want to delete the number u have called on or u have got a call from then u just need to go to logs options and delete and if u want to delete the numbers u have text to then u just need to go to messeges sent items and then delete all and then go messeges then setting then save sent items and then set it to no which will not save ur messges for ever

Your cell phone keeps track of every call you make and receive through it, including a caller's phone number and the date and time a call took place. If you answered the call, it records how long you talked. If you do not want this type of information about your habits to remain on your phone, you can delete records of individual cell phone calls received, dialed or missed, or delete the entire call log at once.
Delete Call Log
1.From the home screen, click the "Menu" button on your phone to navigate to the main menu of your cell phone. This is where your call log application is located, among other features such as your address book and text messaging.
2.Click on the "Call Log" or "Recent Calls" icon. The name may vary slightly depending on your cell phone provider.
3.Select " All Calls" from the call log screen.
4.Scroll down and select "Delete All." This will delete all calls from your call log.
try to open your call manager or call log menu. once open, you can see the list of people whom contacted you and whom you contacted, there's a call log list, press it and it will give you a drop down menu, which will filter the people, select sent messages and it will give you the list people whom you texted, from there you can delete them and they will be removed from your recent contacts.
Access menu>messages>(Now from this screen you should see your Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Saved, Etc. Check to see if you are given 'Options').
This should allow you to delete all text messages in each category. If you are not given an 'Options' feature then access your Inbox and from your Inbox use your 'Options' feature to delete all clutter.
To erase the recent recipients list, you must do a master reset of the phone. This will erase all texts, alarms, and any other personal settings you set on the phone, but it will erase your recent recipients. This is the ONLY reliable method I found
Click on messaging icon from main menu.
Click send message.
Instead of clicking text message click on pic/video message.
then you have 4 options TO: CONTACTS , TO Mobile#, To Email, And finally To Recent lict. Click on recent list and checkmark all the numbers you want deleted then click options bottom right corner then click delete.....
All finished hope this helps.
Go into a new text message and hit the "send to" option.Scroll down to the first name above the line and hit the "options" button.Scroll down and select "Recent messages" and choose whoever from that list that you'd like to be your top 3.I actually just sent all three of mine a blank text, but when I went back to the "send to" list voila!MORE INFO:I tried all kinds of things to remove names from my top three recipients list. What ended up working was to send a text to multiple recipients at once. Two was enough. But it was important who I selected first. I sent a message to my wife and my friend. My wife's name got added back to my top three! Then I reversed and sent a message to my friend and to my wife. His name got added back!
The call listing only shows one caller by design, to help with clutter on the list. It's a little funky, but if you think about scrolling through pages of the same caller just to find that number to the pizza place again, it makes sense.
If you open Messaging, you can access the settings in the menu there to increase (or set to never delete) text message life.
