Question about JVC AV-32F476 32 in. Television

Blank box I turn the tv on and a blank display box comes on, but no words are printed and it goes away once I press menu, but after 5 seconds the blank box comes back

Turn off the Closed Captioning feature. On channels that don't have closed captioning, you just get a blank box.

Try this:

  • Turn the TV off.
  • Press and hold the {VOL -} button ON THE TV and
    the {TV/VIDEO} button on the remote for at least 5 seconds.
  • The TV will turn on with the Service Menu displayed.

Entering or making changes in service mode by untrained persons can cause significant and permanent damage to your television. If you are not qualified to service your television, please DO NOT ENTER these service menu codes.

# Using the remote control:
# Turn the TV off.
# Press {DISPLAY} {5} {VOL+} {POWER ON} buttons.
Press {DISPLAY} {5} {POWER ON} buttons.
# The Service Menu will be displayed.
# Use numbers {1} and {4} to select the item to adjust.

Black screen for HDTV channels -- but TV menu and DVDs display normally

Try hard reset, Please unplug the tv cables and power cables for 30 min and redo the cable and check its working ....

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of spare parts + service charge. More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and size.

I want to get in to the service menu of my e425d hyundai lcd

Black square on one channel

that's a picture inside a picture option, and it sounds like the inside picture is set for a blank channel...just go to the menu, and shut off the picture in a picture option..should do the trick..

and keep the kids away from the machine
