If the arm jos, check the effective weight. if might be too light.
if you do not have equipment,
1. keep the arm in balance / floating level,
2. adjust the weight at back to allow the cartridge to fall, little by little, until it does not jog.
3. then adjust the counter-balance bias, little by little if you do not have the spec.

Yes, it can be fixed. You may have a bad jog wheel or the micro switches that reside beneath it. For more information, please visit my website at You may contact me directly through the website. Thank you.

800 mk 1 plays in cd mode but once vinyl button is pressed play stops. even if I press the play button. The unit still jogs fwd and back just fine in vinyl. The case i use on occasion puts pressure(maybe...

You are almost certainly correct re "pressure switches"
Pioneer call this part "sheet switch" and it is a circular plastic "sandwich" of multiple contacts and when constant pressure is put on it, it tends to stick together giving the effect you are pressing it when you're not.
The part will cost you about £30.00 + fitting - unless you are confident enough to do it yourself

email me if you would like to order one.

Pioneer cdj 800 mk2 playing mp3s, jogwheel & screen dont work

More than likely the contact pad (aka Membrane pad) is probably damaged... or the flat cable which connects to the main processor, might be loose, or damaged.

You'll need to get this professionally checked out by a qualified technician. It's not an easy fix.

Cdj 800 locking up on vinyl

There are very small wheels underneath the jog wheel, and these wheels are sitting on a plastic assembly, which has a tendency to break over time. More than likely, you'll have to have this repaired by an authorized service technician.

CDJ800 vinyl modus

Hi Mate

My last post was a CDJ with a separate fault, causing a similar type fault.

99% of the time, this particular fault is the Flac switch under the platter jog wheel, take the jog wheel apart clean the plastic strip that runs around the jog wheel, the one with rubber feet that activates as a pressure switch.

Often there is air bubbles, liquid, condensation in between the two layers - causing it to stay in touch mode. If that doesn't fix it then you need to replace that strip (pressure switch). They are about £30 quid.

All the best and good luck
