Question about Acer Aspire 5670 Notebook
My DVD-R is not b urning but I am able to burn CD's
Your DVD writing program may have become corrupted. You should get the programs files copied if you didn't originally do it (looks like you'll have to use CDs for now)--a nice feature of Acer--then reinstall whatever DVD burning program came with your computer. The microsoft DVD program is not useful. According to my manual (to read yours, click on start, then all programs, then Acersystem, then Acersystem user's guide, you can access individual original programs stored in your hard drive to reinstall them, by going to Acer eRecovery Management (hit Alt F10 or go to Acer Empowering Technology and click on Acer Erecovery Management, and you should be able to reinstall just the cd-DVD program from there without first burning the backup disk. Then, of course, go to upgrades for that program to see if any are available.
