What does sychronizing do on an mp3 player? I have a coby 200 and want to listen to books on cd but the player plays random and not in order of tracks. I can't find anything that tells me how to stop it. Can you help?

Hello,

Synchronizing on most mp3 players is used for transferring one or more playlists from a computer to the player, having a connection through USB.

Creating playlists, putting mp3 data in a list with a certain name,
mp3 could be put in a specific order.
The player preserves some space of memory to remember these playlists and the playing order.

Some players support subfolders, but not having the manual for the
MP200 I'm not sure if that will work.
e.g.
MUSIC > music list 1
> music list 2

I downloaded an audio book from my pc and it will not play on my coby mp3

MP3 players can only play audio books and music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

How do I add audiobooks from windows media player to coby 300. Coby manager says it on there but coby player tells me no files.

Most audio books are Protected WMA files which this unit does not accept, you would have to convert your audio books to MP3 format for them to play properly on your MP300. Honestly, this unit isnt good for audio books as audio books break up into chapters, this unit has no sort order so your chapters would be out of order.

How do I get the Coby MPC890 to play songs

You push and hold the > key on the mp3 player, then press it again. I just got mine so I'm sure how you go from song to song, but the markings on it are similar to a CD or DVD player.

I have a RCA Cd player RP 2473. I want to burn some books to tape and play them on this player. Will this player allow me to listen to cd that I have burned?

It should play back burned cd's but this is not an mp3 player. This means you'll need to burn your books as audio cd format, and not as a data disc with mp3 files.

Tracks out of order

Have you checked to make sure that the black switch on the side of the mp3 player isn't set to random (the switch will be pushed towards the bottom)?
