My router used to work, but not anymore for some reason. When i connect
it to my xbox and my computer, the xbox works but the internet wont
work on the computer. It says there is little or no connectivity.
Please help me fix this problem i have no idea how. Thx
Isolate your problem. maybe it has something to do with your computer. try connection your pc directly to your modem. if it gets online there. the problem is with your router. try unplugging and replugging your router then restart your pc.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

You say "it does connect to other computers on my network (Media Streaming) through the router" but it's not connecting to "Xbox Live"? If so, it sounds like a problem with your Xbox Live subscription.
Router should be connected via RJ11 cable to the phone socket to get internet service. Check the RJ11 cable at the back of the router. You can try to use a different RJ 11 cable for isolation or try to use the cable that you are using at the back of your phone. You can also check if you are getting a dial tone on the phone as well. thanks and kindly rate this post
Are you trying to set up the router.
You can do it manually without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem
then you need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.
We had a problem with our Xbox doing this, take a cable from one of the comptuers and then try to hook it up. If that don't work, look at the MTC or the username and password information for the router which you might need on the router. Do you need a username and pass for the router? If not then you can connect directly without putting the pass into xbox. This may help, but that was what the problem was on ours and Idk if it will work for yours.
Connect a computer to the router via Ethernet cable, then you should be
able to log into the router to set it up by opening a web
browser and putting "http://192.168.1.1/" or "http://192.168.0.1/"
(without the quotes) into the address line. The default username and
password is usually "admin" and "admin" or username "admin" with no
password. From there you should be able to configure the router and
retrieve or change the WEP key.
Check to make sure that your the xbox isnt too close to a power supply, metal, or the tv. It could interfere with it.
With computers, you can connect to a wireless router but not be able to use it. Make sure that, if you have security, that your password to get into your router is correct. You can also try changing the wireless frequency.
If it is your product, and you just got it, take it back and get another one. If it still doesnt work, then it has to be your router.
Even bring it to a friends place and see if it works with his stuff, if that would be the case, then you know for sure its your wireless and your isp needs to get another phone call.
