- There are a lot of postings in various places about this problem. LaCie's drive is actually a Samsung, but while other folks have posted firmware updates to fix the problem, LaCie has not. I contacted their tech support and they said since their drive works with Roxio it must be an iTunes problem.I managed to work around it using Real Player to burn the files.
My solution - don't buy any more LaCie products.- frustratedTO

Hi,
This could be several issues.
Firstly there could be a format compatability error.
if the burner is looking for Wavs and finding MP3s, then you,ll need to convert the formats, for compatability.
Secondly this could be a copyright protection function, if the cd your trying to copy is protected, then the writer will refuse to copy the files. ( can Sometimes happen if downloaded )
I,d suggest locating some better Software, for your writer.
Or re-installing your original packet-writing software that came with the writer.
